Our quality levels in detail

CLASSICS

Our "classics" come from typical grape varieties from the vineyards in and around Nittel. Perhaps the most important wines for all those for whom good wine is the daily accompaniment to food. Look forward to delicately fruity wines with a fun factor.

FROM SHELL LIMESTONE

Ambassadors of their origins. Old vines that have dug their roots deep into the earth. The valuable minerals of the shell limestone soil and the special microclimate of the southern Weinmosel make these wines so individual and full of character.

HEART PIECE

The invitation to the highest level of wine enjoyment. Only the "centerpieces" of our best vineyards around Nittel, greatly reduced yields, multiple hand-picked selections, gentle processing, slow fermentation and many other adjustments are made to make these wines so special. Individual characters that only reveal themselves over time.

GOLD PIECE

Best Vintage - only in particularly outstanding years do the grapes achieve the quality that makes them suitable for our Gold Pieces. In these special vintages, only the best grapes from selected plots are used for these wines. Strict yield regulation, classic grape varieties, lots and lots of time and several sensory tests are just some of the requirements for our "Goldstücke". They are wines that show the optimum, characterized by the terroir, unique and cannot be copied. Great wines at the highest level, which accompany dishes from all over the world and show their ageing potential over several years.
