Description
The Elbling Kapellenberg is our first Elbling from a single vineyard and thus truly the heart of the line. The vines are over 60 years old, planted in the spring of 1960, and produce an Elbling with exceptional concentration and depth. What's more, it is hand-picked, double-selected, and spontaneously fermented. The result is a dry Elbling with character that goes far beyond the classic, light style.
In the glass, it is precise and clear, yet complex at the same time. Spontaneous fermentation brings a fine, natural complexity without making the wine heavy. The Kapellenberg is calm, taut, and elegant, with a long finish. An Elbling for those who want to taste its origins and enjoy a more detailed tasting experience.
