Description
The Elbling Spätlese comes from an ancient vineyard in Nitteler Blümchen. The vines were planted by hand in 1962 and naturally produce significantly lower yields today. That is precisely the advantage here: less quantity, more concentration. This Spätlese shows how much depth and finesse Elbling can offer.
The grapes were allowed to ripen fully on the vine and were harvested without botrytis. This ensures a clean, clear fruit character and an elegant, precise style. After harvesting, the grapes were gently pressed as whole clusters and then fermented spontaneously. The result is a Spätlese with natural complexity, fine structure, and a long finish.
Special features:
- from the Nitteler Blümchen
- old vines (planted by hand in 1962)
- Significantly reduced yields for higher quality and depth
- harvested when fully ripe, without botrytis
- Whole grape pressing, followed by spontaneous fermentation
Goes particularly well with:
Fine cuisine with fruit and spices, Asian dishes, stronger fish, poultry, mature cheese, or as a special wine for quiet evenings.
