Description
Red vineyard peach liqueur is a special liqueur experience because the fruit itself is extraordinary: the red vineyard peach, also known as the blood peach, originally comes from Asia but has long since found a new home on the Moselle. These peaches typically grow and ripen on the steep slopes along the Moselle, which are often left fallow.
The flesh is red to deep red and has a much more aromatic flavor than classic peaches. At the same time, these varieties are usually less sweet, making them ideal for liqueur production: fruity, intense, and full of character, rather than cloyingly sweet.
Taste & Style:
Intense peach aroma with deep red fruit
Fruity and well-rounded, not overly sweet in taste
Ideal as a dessert liqueur or for refining
Ideas for enjoyment:
Pure, on ice, as a spritzer with sparkling wine/secco, in cocktails, or as a fruity kick over desserts (e.g., vanilla ice cream, panna cotta).
